About the pack

A fairy-tale fantasy RPG in Minecraft

Avaloria is a fantasy RPG modpack on Minecraft 1.21.1 and NeoForge with combat classes, crafting professions, living settlements and progression driven by bosses. Towering mountains, varied biomes and new caves sit alongside medieval villages, taverns, ancient ruins and dangerous dungeons. Familiar mineshafts, temples and fortresses have been reworked, and exploring the world turns up gear, resources and your next goal. There are no elytra: you travel on the ground, and a loyal horse can be bound to you and summoned on the road. The pack is built for both solo play and playing with friends.

Choose the path of a warrior, rogue, hunter, paladin, priest, or a mage of the arcane, fire or frost school. Your class is a book in an accessory slot, so you can change your abilities as you go. Active skills are learned with experience, while a passive talent tree, class gear, jewellery and relics let you build your own playstyle. Combat has parries, rolls, dashes and ultimate moves; heavy blows break an enemy's posture, and stealth lets you strike unseen. In a party, tanks hold the enemy's attention, damage dealers deal the damage and healers keep allies alive. Enemies don't scale with your level, so preparation and levelling up really do make earlier challenges easier.

The road through Avaloria has four stages: to move on you must defeat four mandatory bosses in the first tier, six in the second and eight in the third. The Nether opens in the third stage and the End in the fourth. Among your foes are the Forged, the Kraken, the Ancient Remnant, Ignis, the Harbinger, the Netherite Monstrosity and other bosses, each with its own attacks and quirks. Separate portals lead to DungeonZ dungeons whose difficulty and rewards follow your current tier. Inside, you can't break blocks freely, ender pearls are disabled, and death means losing your inventory. A quest book guides your progress, and the bestiary helps you study the world and plan your next discoveries.

Four professions level up to 10 and unlock new possibilities: the Blacksmith makes weapons, armour and tools, the Alchemist works with runes, magical gear and potions, the Farmer masters husbandry, dishes and drinks, and the Miner gets advanced pickaxes and jewelcrafting. In a group you can split the roles and supply each other with finished items. Villagers remember what you do, trade rumours, hand out tasks and change how they feel about you. You can hire them for work or take them into your party and give orders on the march. Between adventures there's building, furniture and decor, fishing, farming, baking and brewing — everything for your own workshop, a cosy home or a whole tavern.

Unique mechanics

What awaits a hero in Avaloria

Villagers with character

Villagers with character

A villager is a character with a memory: they remember every player, gossip with neighbours and notice crimes. Conversations, gifts, hiring, duels — and reputation all the way up to «Royalty».

Your own party

Your own party

Up to 4 players and 4 hired villagers in one party. Press Tab for the command wheel: attack, hold position, heal, collect loot, search chests.

Eight classes

Eight classes

Your class is a book in an accessory slot: warrior, rogue, hunter, paladin, priest and three mages. Spells on keys 1–9 and a skill tree with eight branches. Swap the book — swap your style.

Professions

Professions

Mining, farming, alchemy and blacksmithing — up to level 10. Without the right level some items can't be crafted or worn, but every level grants bonuses, and death doesn't reset your progress.

Tiered world

Tiered world

The world opens up by bosses defeated, not by time or level: four tiers from «First Steps» to the finale in the End. No auto-levelling — the difficulty is fair.

Timing-based combat

Timing-based combat

Instead of spamming the mouse — parry, roll, dash and ultimate. Break an enemy's posture, strike from stealth and manage aggro like in an MMO: co-op needs both a tank and a healer.

Dungeons

Dungeons

Portals to separate dungeons with their own rules: diamonds to enter, three difficulties, unbreakable blocks. Go in as a group of up to 5 players together with your hired villagers.

22 bosses

22 bosses

Every boss lives in its own structure — from the Iron Smith to the End Guardian and the Leviathan. You need every boss of a tier to unlock the next one.

Bestiary of Avaloria

Bestiary of Avaloria

The pack's own mod right in your inventory: weapons, armour, accessories, biomes and structures. Entries are visible at once, and recipes open from the article.

FAQ

Server questions

Does the pack really install in one click?

Yes. You enter the access key right when ordering the server, and the pack is installed on it automatically — no manual file uploads.

Does every player need to buy the pack?

Everyone who wants to join needs the client version — you can't connect without it. Only the server owner buys the server version.

Can I play solo, or only with friends?

Both: the pack is built for solo play and for playing with friends. A server is what lets you play together — a party holds up to 4 players and 4 hired villagers, and dungeons take groups of up to 5.

How much RAM should I take?

10 GB for up to 5 players, 12 GB for up to 10, and 16 GB or more beyond that. If you're unsure, use our RAM calculator or ask support.

What happens to the world when the pack is installed or updated?

Installing or updating the pack overwrites the server files, so make a backup first — that's a couple of clicks in the panel, and backups are included in the plan.

Where do I get the access key?

The author's shop issues it right after payment. If it doesn't arrive, message our support and we'll sort it out.

Can I move a world from another host?

Yes. We'll move your world and settings from another host for free — it's our standard migration service.

How fast will the server be ready?

Servers are provisioned automatically after payment, usually within a few minutes. The pack is installed right away — you enter the key while ordering.

About the author. Avaloria is made and sold by NTC studio (Kenny). Elysium Hosting is the pack's official host: we don't sell the pack itself, we provide the server it runs on.
