150+hours to the finale

The Core of Elysium has fallen

Elysium was a city of engineers in the sky. Then its Core failed, and the whole city came down into our world. Its wreckage lies across the land, Core minions wander around it, and in the towers that survived the Watchers still keep their watch: the mechanical guardians of Elysium's five guilds.

You begin with gears and a water wheel. To reach the Core you'll have to grow your own engineering age by age — Create, Immersive Engineering, Mekanism and Applied Energistics 2 — build the keys to the Watchers' lairs and beat all five of them.

It's a hardcore story-driven pack for 150+ hours: about 150 mods, about 680 quests and its own mod, Fallen Core Engine. Every age is earned: the machines of the next age need trophies from this age's bosses, and no recipe lets you skip ahead.

The pack is built for a team of friends and fully playable alone. An age opens for the whole team at once: one player uses the Seal and everyone moves on together. And your own server keeps the world open for the whole team, even when the host isn't online.

Five ages — from gears to antimatter

An age opens for the whole team at once. Its machines are the key to the next age's bosses, and the bosses' trophies are the key to its machines.

  1. I

    Gears

    Create: andesite, presses, water wheels

Twilight Forest: the Naga and the Lich

    Watcher of the ageThe Clockmaker

  2. II

    Brass & Steam

Create brass, the mechanical crafter, steam engines

The Nether and the Aether: the Hydra, the Gauntlet, the Slider

Watcher of the ageThe Steam Ram

  3. III

    Steel & Current

Immersive Engineering: coke oven, blast furnace, steel, generators, wires, refining, plastic

The Knight Phantoms, the Ur-Ghast, Ignis, the Valkyries

Watcher of the ageThe Copper Shepherd

  4. IV

    Industry

Mekanism and Applied Energistics 2: ore processing, alloys, circuits, the ME network

The End and the Otherside: the Snow Queen, the Leviathan, the Obsidilith, the Ender Guardian

    Watcher of the ageThe Smelter

  5. V

    Apex

Fission and fusion reactors, the SPS and antimatter, the MekaSuit, quantum singularities

    Maledictus, Scylla, the Dead King

    Watcher of the ageThe Observer

Watchers you can't out-gear

Each one has its own lair and a key built from other bosses' trophies. Damage per hit is capped, so a stack of enchantments won't save you — reading the fight will. The artwork is AI-assisted concept art made for the pack, not in-game footage.

The Clockmaker
Age I

The Clockmaker

Stops time and leaves golden traces where his next blows will land. Every 20 seconds his spring runs down — that's your window.

The Steam Ram
Age II

The Steam Ram

Charges along a red line. Lead it into a pillar to stun it, and bleed off its pressure through the boiler valves before it bursts.

The Copper Shepherd
Age III

The Copper Shepherd

Throws an iron hail at you with its magnet and calls down lightning. The lightning rods by the pylon catch the strikes: charge three and it goes blind.

The Smelter
Age IV

The Smelter

Keeps heating up toward a blast. Drag it to a coolant tank to dump the heat and make its metal brittle, and keep the slag golems away from the tanks.

The Observer
Age V

The Observer

Hides among its own copies — only the real one casts a shadow. When its eye opens, look away.

A world that fights back

You can't just sit at your base: the Core comes to you, and its wreckage holds everything worth heading out for.

Every age is earned

The machines of the next age need trophies from this age's bosses, and you fight the next age's bosses with gear from those machines. No shortcut recipes.

Core raids

Every few days a portal opens near your team, and Core minions with the Guardian's Echo walk out into your fields, your mine and your base. The higher your age, the stronger the wave.

Core wreckage

Craters and ruined machine halls with vaults, guardians, artifact blueprints and records of how Elysium fell.

The Monument of Elysium

The heart of your team's base. Awaken it with resources, then open rifts with a loot pot and mythic trials: empowered Watcher fights with affixes and records.

Core synthesis

Study a resource in the analyzer, then synthesize it from Core matter.

Armor modules

Sockets in your armor and more than twenty modules, from a glider and a jetpack to an ore scanner and a magnet.

47 artifacts

You won't find them in chests: their blueprints are in the Core wreckage, and you craft the artifacts yourself.

No wiki needed

The age path is a step-by-step quest chain, every boss trophy has a "where to get it" page in JEI, and the pack's machines have their own guide book and Ponder scenes.

Fair for teams

Ages and quests are shared by the whole FTB Teams party. Lootr gives every player their own chest loot, Ping Wheel marks places, and Corpse keeps your items after death.

The finale

The Fallen Core

Assemble the Core of Elysium from the trophies of 13 bosses across every world, add the best parts of each age and perform the ritual. The Core sheds its shell every 20% of its health — gears, steam, current, industry, quantum: one phase for each age you went through. Win, and you get the Core's Heart and Sparks of Creation, which craft creative blocks.

Server questions

Where can I get the Elysium server version?
Only with us: the server version is available only on Elysium hosting. Rent a server and the pack is already installed on it — nothing to download or upload.
How much does the pack cost?
The pack itself is free: the client is on CurseForge, and the server version comes with the rental — no keys, no extra cost. You only pay for the server.
What do players need to join the server?
The CurseForge app and Elysium - Fallen Core, the same version as on the server. Set the game's memory in CurseForge: Settings → Minecraft → Java Settings, 8–10 GB.
How do we play as a team?
Open your inventory and press My Team in the top left corner, then Create a Party and Invite Player(s) — your friend clicks Accept in chat. Ages, Seals and quest progress are shared by the whole party, and anyone who joins later gets the party's age the next time they log in.
Can I play alone?
Yes, the pack is fully playable solo. A server lets you play as a team and keeps the world open for your friends at any time, not only while the host is online.
How much RAM should I take?
8 GB at minimum — enough for a team of up to 4. For up to 8 players take 10 GB, and 12 GB and up beyond that. If you're unsure, use our RAM calculator or ask support.
Can I add my own mods to the server?
You can, but recipes and quests are built around the current mod list, and new mods can open shortcuts past the ages. Make a backup before changing anything — it's a couple of clicks in the panel.
What happens to the world when the pack is updated?
An update overwrites the server files, so make a backup first. Backups are included in the plan.
Is the pack in English?
Yes: quests, items and the pack's guide are fully translated into English and Russian. Switch the language in the game settings.
How fast will the server be ready?
Servers are provisioned automatically after payment, usually within a few minutes. Elysium is installed on it right away.

About the author. Elysium: Fallen Core is made by the ElysiumUp team — the same team behind this hosting.
