An ATM10 Sky server is All the Mods 10 rebuilt as a skyblock: void all around, a single block and a tree under your feet, and hundreds of tech and magic mods ahead. Skyblock is more fun with friends, especially when one of you builds farms while another figures out automation. Here's what an ATM10: To the Sky server needs, how much memory to get, how to install the pack on Elysium and which settings to check right away.
What ATM10: To the Sky is
To the Sky, also known as ATM10SKY, comes from ATMTeam, the team behind the main All the Mods line. The pack takes the ATM10 mod set and flips the start: instead of a normal world you get a tree, one block and an endless void. Everything else, from cobblestone to endgame machines, has to come from automation, magic and creativity. The authors call it a progression-based skyblock challenge: reaching the endgame takes creative thinking and efficient automation.
What's worth knowing about the pack:
- It runs on Minecraft 1.21.1 and NeoForge. The project appeared in August 2025 and is actively updated: in October 2026 alone, versions 2.0.7 through 2.3.0 came out.
- Quests are optional. The quest book shows you the way, but you can blaze your own trail.
- Servers and LAN are supported. The authors state outright that the pack is fully server-compatible.
- Islands. The two islands the team calls its favourites were made by Howester84, whom the authors thank in the description.
As usual, the team jokes about the name: does All the Mods really contain all the mods? Of course not. For a skyblock, though, there are more than enough. For the main line with a normal world, ATM9 and ATM10, we have a separate page on All The Mods hosting.
How a skyblock server differs from a regular one
On regular ATM10, the server spends a lot of effort on world generation: new chunks arrive with biomes, structures and modded ores. In skyblock the world around you is empty, and generation costs almost nothing. Instead, the whole economy runs on machines. Every resource you'd mine with a pickaxe on a normal map is produced here by generators, farms and processing chains, and by mid-game the base turns into a dense factory.
The key takeaway for the server: skyblock needs less memory than full ATM10, but CPU load grows with the base. Machines run every tick while their chunk is loaded, and over time they're what eats into TPS.
What an ATM10 Sky server needs
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Minecraft version | 1.21.1 |
| Mod loader | NeoForge (bundled with the pack) |
| Current pack version | 2.3.0 (October 2026) |
| Java | Java 21 |
| Server pack | yes, official, on the pack's CurseForge page |
| Memory | authors recommend 6–8 GB or more; 8 GB for 2–3 players |
How much RAM you need and which plan to pick
The ATM10 Sky authors recommend allocating at least 6–8 GB. For a server with two or three players we recommend 8 GB: less is enough at the start, but by mid-game, with lots of factories and storage, the headroom pays off. The more players, the more bases and loaded chunks full of machines.
| Players | Elysium plan | Price |
|---|---|---|
| 2–3 | Nexus, 8 GB | €20.49/mo |
| 4–10 | Vortex, 10 GB | €25.49/mo |
| 10–20 | Apex, 12 GB | €30.99/mo |
For an automation-heavy skyblock, CPU clock speed matters more than you'd think: Minecraft runs the main world loop on a single thread, and every machine on the base is processed in it one after another. Elysium servers run on Ryzen 9 7900X at up to 5.6 GHz with NVMe drives, and the data center is in Frankfurt, so ping from across Europe is low.
How to install ATM10 Sky on an Elysium server
ATM10: To the Sky is in our CurseForge modpack catalog, so you don't install mods by hand.
- Open the order page and find All the Mods 10: To the Sky in the modpack list using search.
- Pick a plan. The form suggests the smallest plan by memory and marks plans that are too small for the pack.
- Pay for the order and wait for the setup: the server downloads the pack from CurseForge and installs NeoForge.
- Start the server from your dashboard. The first launch of a modpack takes longer than usual, which is normal.
- Check that the pack version in your players' launchers matches the version on the server, then connect using the address from the panel.
If you already have a server, you can install the pack from the panel in the Modpacks tab. It's a clean install: all server files, including the world, are deleted, so make a backup first. We cover the specifics of servers on this loader in our article on NeoForge server hosting.
Minecraft protects the area around world spawn: players without operator rights can't break or place blocks there. On a normal map you barely notice it, but in skyblock the starting island can fall inside that zone, and your friends won't even be able to chop the tree. If that happens, set spawn-protection=0 in server.properties and restart the server.
Server settings after installation
Server files are available in the panel's file manager and over SFTP. The authors don't list special server.properties requirements, but for skyblock with friends it's worth checking:
spawn-protection=0— see the warning above.allow-flight=true— modpacks offer plenty of ways to fly, and with this off the server may kick a player for "flying" even though they're flying legitimately with a modded item.simulation-distance— the area around each player where machines and farms run. 6–8 chunks is a sensible balance for a growing base.white-list=true— for a private server, turn on the whitelist and add friends withwhitelist add <name>.
In skyblock, falling into the void costs you your whole inventory. If your group has newcomers, you can turn on item keeping with /gamerule keepInventory true in the console — that's a matter of taste, not a pack requirement. The remaining parameters are explained in our guide to server.properties settings.
Common problems and fixes
A player can't join because of mods
The pack updates often, sometimes several times a month, so mismatched versions between server and players are the most common cause. Check the version in everyone's launcher and update together.
A normal world generated instead of the void
The world type is set when the world is first created. If players spawn on normal ground, compare server.properties with the file from the pack's official server pack, delete the world folder and start the server again. Do it before anyone starts building.
The server won't start
Check the console in the panel: NeoForge tells you which mod failed. If the error mentions Java, make sure Java 21 is selected — you can switch it in the Versions tab, and changing only Java leaves the server files untouched.
TPS drops by mid-game
That's almost always an overgrown factory. Find machines running for nothing, clear out overflowing storage and lower simulation-distance. If more people play than you planned for, move up a plan.
Backups and updates
An Elysium server makes an automatic backup every night, plus manual slots: 3 on Nexus, 4 on Vortex, 5 on Apex. Make a manual backup before every pack update: updating through Modpacks is a clean install, so save the world folder over SFTP and put it back after the new version is installed. In skyblock, where everything is built by hand from nothing, losing your island hurts the most.
If you'd rather play ATM10 with a normal world and Pokémon, look at All the Mons from the same team. And fans of classic skyblock with a tree in the void have SkyFactory 5.
Ryzen 9 7900X at up to 5.6 GHz, NVMe, a data center in Frankfurt, nightly backups and DDoS protection. For ATM10: To the Sky with friends, Nexus 8 GB at €20.49/mo is a good fit.
