Fabric server hosting is prized for being light and fast. Fabric is a modular loader with a strong ecosystem of optimization mods around it, so on the same hardware a Fabric server often holds higher TPS than a heavy Forge pack. Elysium deploys Fabric on Ryzen + NVMe Gen4 — a fast loader on fast hardware.

Why Fabric is so light

Fabric was designed as a minimal mod loader from the start: a small core plus exactly the mods you want. An ecosystem of server-side optimizations grew around it — Lithium, FerriteCore and others rewrite engine bottlenecks and noticeably cut CPU and memory load. The result is a Fabric server that stays responsive even under load. How to squeeze maximum TPS out of the loader is covered in our article on Fabric hosting that won't kill your TPS.

Fabric or Forge

The main question is which loader your desired pack is built for. Forge historically carries the largest tech modpacks and an enormous mod library. Fabric is lighter, faster and favoured by optimization and tech mods, and more serious packs ship on it every year. If a pack exists for both, Fabric is usually lighter on load. What's in the plan

Every Fabric plan is Ryzen + NVMe Gen4, the Pterodactyl panel, automatic backups and DDoS protection. Mods and optimizations install via the file manager, and the loader version is chosen at checkout and switchable in the panel. Ready CurseForge and FTB Fabric packs install in a couple of clicks — more on the modpack hosting page.

A light loader is no excuse for weak hardware

Fabric is leaner than Forge, but a strong CPU still decides it: entity ticks, redstone and worldgen run on a single thread. On a good Ryzen core, optimization mods pay off fully; on an oversold node they hit the hardware ceiling. The calculator helps you size RAM without overpaying.
