What loads a Forge server
Forge is popular precisely because of its scale: most large tech and adventure mods are written for it. But scale has a cost. Every mod adds entities, machines and worldgen logic, and it all lands on the CPU:
- machine and auto-farm ticks run every game tick on the main thread;
- generating chunks with modded structures and ores hits NVMe speed;
- dozens of mods hold large block and item registries in memory.

Forge or Fabric
If your pack exists for both loaders, it's worth comparing.
